Random Order

“Random Order,” White Columns, 320 West 13th Street, West Village, (212) 924–4212 (through June 15). This appealing gathering of works that personalize mathematical or scientific concepts includes Jennifer Dailey’s colored dot grids; Pamela Harris’s clusters of curvy marks in pastel and charcoal; Tohru Kanayama’s tiny Op Art-like digital prints; Henry Brown’s bright, hard-edged, geometric paintings; John O’Connor’s gestural, bio-linguistic charts; Taney Roniger’s finely perforated metallic panels; Marc Brotherton’s painted diagrams; Roland Thompson’s painted mazes; and Karla Hoepfner’s painterly violations of inked graphs (Johnson).
